Google Chrome’s new Feature Lets you Export Saved Passwords
In the past few years, Google Chrome for Android has been considered as the most popular browser in the world, courtesy of its simple UI, speed, security and ease of navigation. Now, tech giant—Google is set to add another feature on Chrome which will further lift the browser head and shoulder above others.
The new feature planned to be added on Google Chrome is the ability to export saved passwords. This will enable users easily and securely export their saved passwords in a file format to a new device.
Once available, the option to Export passwords can be found at the top-right corner of the Passwords page in the Chrome Settings menu (Menu > Settings > Advanced Settings > Manage
Passwords). Simply tap on it to begin the export process, then a file containing your saved passwords will be downloaded to your smartphone. The file format is currently in the dark, but it presumably isn’t proprietary.
With new browsers like FireFox Quantum, Microsoft Edge and Samsung Browser, the competition in the mobile browser category is arguably getting healthier everyday. But with the way Chrome is releasing new features, I don’t see them losing their position as the most popular browser anytime soon.
